Elisha is the last surviving member of the Elfrieden Royal Family following the succession crisis that erupted after the 12th King's death. She becomes the rightful heir to the throne, though she's never particularly wanted it. Instead, she marries Albert and essentially hands him the crown, making him the 13th King of Elfrieden—he takes her family name as part of the arrangement.
