April's a student at the College alongside Chise Hatori, usually hanging out with Veronica Rickenbacker. She's May Atwood's sister.
You first see her in Elias' mage class, where she's supposed to earn a Neighbor's trust to help light a candle—pretty standard College stuff. Instead, she gets sidetracked trying to talk sense into her brother, who's busy yelling at a salamander. Predictably, the salamander doesn't take kindly to it and transforms into something way more hostile. April ends up catching May when Elias throws him clear of the chaos.
