Takemichi is a 26-year-old unemployed guy living a pretty dead-end life. He gets hit with devastating news: Hina, the girl he dated back in middle school—basically the only girl he's ever actually dated—was killed. The shock of it sends him spiraling, and then, after getting caught up in some kind of accident, something impossible happens. He time leaps back to his middle school days.
With a second chance he never expected, Takemichi makes a desperate vow: he's going to change the future and save Hina, no matter what it takes. To pull that off, he decides the only way forward is to work his way up through the Kantou region's most brutal delinquent gang. It's not exactly a sound plan, but he's determined.
