He's best known for being the mysterious, absent senpai who watches over the protagonist from the shadows.
As a kid, Ataru couldn't handle his parents' brutal Spartan training and bolted. Since this happened before Suguru was even born, the younger brother had no idea his older sibling existed. For 25 years, Ataru secretly kept tabs on Suguru's fights against Evil Choujin, making sure he understood the real meaning of friendship before finally revealing himself during the Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne.
Among the Idol Choujin, Ataru commands respect as an experienced veteran and mentor figure—basically a big brother to everyone. He fights using True Friendship Power, along with his own variant of the Kajiba no Kuso Djikara called Gouka no Kuso Djikara (known in the anime as Ganso Kajiba no Kuso Djikara).
