A special forces pilot under direct APE command, Beta served as the official leader of the 9's—an elite unit known for their ruthless efficiency. He piloted a FRANXX designated 9 Model alongside his partner 9'ζ.
Beta had a genuinely off-putting personality that made him unpopular even among his own squad. Like all members of the 9's, he was a Parasite, though his role as leader set him apart from the rest of the unit.
