Yue is one of the two Guardians of the Clow Cards in Clamp's Cardcaptor Sakura series. He's best known for being the judge who tests candidates seeking to become the next Master of the Clow. Voiced by Megumi Ogata in Japanese, Sam Vincent in English, and Steve Staley in the second film.
Despite his youthful appearance as a beautiful young man with long silver braided hair and striking violet eyes, Yue is actually over 300 years old. He has a pair of angelic wings that let him fly, and fans often note his ethereal, otherworldly design.
Yue commands wind and water—elements that partly depend on him for their existence. He's a formidable fighter with an impressive magical arsenal: he can erect powerful barriers, summon deadly crystal shards, generate cutting energy around his hands, conjure and fire energy arrows from a bow, and manipulate objects through telekinesis, among other attacks.
On the surface, he comes across as cold, aloof, and serious—genuinely intimidating. He makes his first major appearance when Sakura captures the final Clow Card, The Earthy.
