The Operators are gynoids that work for Section 9, the government agency's public security division. They handle the usual stuff you'd expect—computer work, moving equipment around the building, piloting aircraft—basically whatever the team needs. Physically, they're all identical-looking: women in office lady suits with brown hair in ponytails and brown eyes.
They're genuinely impressive pieces of tech. In one episode, when the team's running a particularly demanding operation, fresh Operators just slide out of the walls to swap in for the worn-out ones, which hints that Section 9 keeps a whole stockpile of them and rotates units regularly. Besides Proto, who's a prototype bioroid, the Operators rank among the most advanced units in the series.
