Allen first encounters Tyki not long after recruiting Arystar as an ally. Tyki lives a split existence: his "white side" is a laid-back, fun-loving guy of Portuguese descent who gambles with humans and loves poker, while his "dark side" is a sadistic Noah descendant and one of the series' main antagonists with an appetite for violence.
Tyki and his crew rope Arystar into a strip poker game and clean him out completely. Allen steps in to challenge them and wins through cheating techniques he picked up from years with Cross, earning him a pack of cards from Tyki before the group moves on. It's a casual victory that masks something darker—the group is later revealed to be carrying a chunk of silver engraved with the name of Kevin Yeegar, an exorcist general who was recently murdered.
When they meet again, Allen encounters Tyki's Noah persona. After a brief conversation, Tyki leaves him for dead with a heart wound from Tease, a butterfly-shaped flesh-eating golem that also destroys Allen's Innocence. Tyki scatters the same cards he'd given Allen across the boy's body. Once he realizes Allen's name won't disappear from the jail cell walls, he heads out with Jasdero and Debit to track down Cross.
Powers & Abilities
Tyki's strength comes from selective intangibility—he can phase through matter like a ghost or walk on empty air. Offensively, he can phase his hand directly into an opponent's body and target specific organs, crushing or tearing out hearts without leaving external wounds. He can also reject space itself in a localized area, essentially creating vacuums that let him suffocate enemies. He typically fights alongside his Tease golems, which multiply, swarm, and shapeshift into shields or blades.
He's responsible for killing Kevin Yeegar and at least seven other exorcists: Suman Dark, Tina Spark, Gwen Frere, Sol Galen, Kazanna Reed, Chakar Rabon, and Daisya Barry.
