Sugawara's closest friend, and someone who goes way back with both Izumi and Momoko. She's harbored feelings for Izumi since they were kids, but never really had the guts to make a move—partly because she was self-conscious about how other, more popular kids would react. As things develop in the story, though, she starts picking up on the fact that Izumi's clearly drawn to Sugawara's looks and gentle personality, which doesn't exactly help her confidence or her situation.
