Kaoruko Sazaki is best known as the leader of Saint Odessa Girls' School's Gunpla Battle team, "Song Dynasty Vase." She's the younger sister of Susumu Sazaki, who competed in the previous season. Fans often call her "Gyanko" thanks to her signature use of the YMS-15 Gyan in matches. Her team made a solid run in the West Tokyo regional qualifiers the year before, landing in the top four.
