Baccarat is a concierge and executive member of Gild Tesoro's crew on the floating city Gran Tesoro, first appearing in One Piece Film: Gold.
She's a tall, slim woman with light brown skin, wide hips, and long red hair. Her dark green eyes and thin nose give her a distinctive look, and she has a red spiral snake tattoo with a star in the middle on her lower left hip. Her usual outfit is a black backless dress with dramatic cleavage, white stripe accents, black gloves, crescent earrings, and purple-tinted sunglasses she often dangles in her cleavage. She rounds it out with black stiletto heels and a star-buckled belt. When fighting, she switches to revealing gold armor with red lingerie underneath.
On the surface, Baccarat comes across as friendly and composed—the perfect host, encouraging visitors to enjoy luxury and spend big. In reality, she's orchestrating their financial ruin, luring them into debt so they're forced to work as slaves for Gran Tesoro. It's a cruel con, and she has no qualms about it. If guests get too lucky, she'll straight-up use her Devil Fruit to drain their fortune. She's also a manipulator who'll fake injuries to get close to targets, like when she pretended to hurt her leg just to get near Sanji.
Her confidence in her abilities borders on arrogance—she genuinely believes she can't lose, which becomes her biggest weakness. When Usopp managed to deplete her luck with a hidden slot machine, she was completely blindsided and didn't even bother trying to avoid his attack.
Baccarat ate the Raki Raki no Mi, a Paramecia Devil Fruit that lets her steal good luck from anyone she touches. Once someone's luck is gone, they're hit with a cascade of accidents and misfortune. By hoarding enough stolen luck, Baccarat becomes absurdly fortunate herself—attacks miss her, coins cause disaster chains that harm opponents, and she's nearly impossible to hit. The catch is that borrowed luck fades eventually if she gets too many good breaks in a row.
She later shows up at the Pirates Festival in One Piece: Stampede, hanging out with Gedatsu.
