She's Kazuo Nakano's wife, and their dynamic shifts pretty wildly depending on the version. In the manga, Kazuo's constantly scheming to get rid of her—it's played for comedy. But the anime toned that way down and gave them this aggressively sweet, clingy relationship instead. Fans have definitely noticed how differently she gets portrayed between the two.
