Saotome Masami
Masami is a high school student dealing with some pretty dark stuff beneath the surface—specifically, an unconscious death wish. He's drawn to dangerous situations, hoping something stronger than him will end it all. The thing is, whenever he actually manages to survive a close call, he's visibly let down rather than relieved. It's a grim character trait that defines his whole outlook, even if he doesn't consciously recognize it in himself.
