Chika Amatori is one of World Trigger's main protagonists. She's the quiet type—almost painfully shy, with very few friends by her own choice. The reason? She's convinced that getting close to people just means watching them get kidnapped by Neighbors. It's a lonely way to live, but from her perspective, it's safer.
Despite her withdrawn nature, she's got real strengths. She's patient, serious, and can focus intensely on a task—exactly what you'd want in a sniper. The problem is she can't see any of that in herself. Low confidence and self-doubt are her biggest enemies, even more than any actual threat.
That started changing when she met Yuuma and joined up with Tamakoma-2. Being part of a squad and having people actually want her around gradually pushed her out of her shell. She's become noticeably more social and a lot more confident. That said, she's still fundamentally kind-hearted, and she's open about her fear of hurting others—which makes sense given everything she's been through.
