Rodan
Rodan makes a major appearance in Godzilla: Singular Point, emerging from the red sea alongside Godzilla itself—a creature whose origins trace back to feudal Japan, as shown in a festival scene depicting their simultaneous rise from the waters as Koshira.
The design is distinctly pterosaur-inspired, with an oversized head and wings it uses for locomotion. The creature exists in two forms throughout the story. Juveniles are smaller and vulnerable, with pinkish skin, and they tend to swarm together in groups. Adults are far more imposing—darker-skinned, solitary, and relentlessly aggressive, charging straight toward their targets and destroying everything in their path.
What sets Rodan apart is its sensitivity to radio waves. The creatures are actually drawn to these frequencies, which explains why they're lured out of the ocean toward populated areas where they cause widespread destruction.
