Taranda Lieselotte Tachibana—usually just called Lise—works as the animal handler for Nakamachi Circus. She comes from a long line of animal tamers, which makes sense given how naturally she handles the big cats around the circus.
Her main story revolves around a man-eating tiger called Beast, who killed her sister during a performance. In the manga, Lise tames a lion named Drum specifically to hunt Beast down. The anime takes a different approach—she's already established as a circus member there, and her backstory and taming abilities aren't explored in the same way.
She's got a pretty obvious crush on Masaru Saiga, which fans often pick up on pretty quickly.
