A hard-drinking private investigator who gets pulled into a case when Hans Georg Schubert hires him to look into Edmund Farren's death—officially ruled a suicide, but suspicious enough to warrant digging into. He's been wrestling with some serious demons: years back, he shot a criminal in the line of duty, and the guilt and trauma sent him spiraling into alcoholism. His wife and daughter walked out because of it, which hit harder than anything else. Since then, he's been trying to rebuild from scratch—staying sober, getting his life in order, maybe finding a way back to his family. Whether the case becomes his redemption or another way to self-destruct kind of depends on how deep he's willing to go.
