Mepple is the protector bonded to the Princess of Hope, which means he and Mipple are basically inseparable—fans often note their dynamic is pretty lovey-dovey. He's got a mischievous streak though. With Nagisa, he's constantly bickering and poking fun at her, and he doesn't hide his jealousy of Porun, wishing the guy would be less self-centered. That said, Mepple's not exactly a saint himself—he's always hungry, whining about his stomach, and he's fully aware that Nagisa is easy to play. He lives with Nagisa and ends pretty much everything he says with "mepo."
One thing worth noting: both Mepple and Mipple can't maintain their true Garden of Light forms for long without getting exhausted, so they usually stick to cellphone-like shapes to conserve energy.
