Reyfer grew up in a struggling village where crop failures and bad luck were constant. He eventually bailed on that life and headed into the mountains, living off the land as a hunter for years until a stranger shared a meal with him and changed everything. That guy became his mentor in treasure hunting and left him with some surprisingly philosophical advice: if you ever make real money, buy yourself a dream. Reyfer's been chasing that idea ever since.
He's a romantic at heart and can't resist poking around anything that catches his interest. His survival instincts are solid—partly from his years in isolation, partly just raw intuition—and that's gotten him out of more than a few tight spots. He knows ruins inside and out, which combined with his dirt-poor upbringing makes him genuinely resourceful with money. The guy doesn't waste anything.
