Synopsis

This world is dying. It's been through countless twilight periods before, and now it's approaching its final end. In the western reaches of the "Land of Dusk," one nation managed to thrive by mastering alchemy. Desperate to survive the coming "Dusk End," they've been scrambling to recover and rebuild the lost alchemic knowledge of previous ages. Central—a research city dedicated to alchemy—became the hub where they gathered rediscovered tech from the past, all in hopes of stopping the encroaching darkness. The story follows two alchemists. Escha is a girl from a small frontier town who's been using her knowledge of ancient alchemy to help people around her, and eventually gets assigned to the Development Department. Logy is a young man trained in Central's most cutting-edge alchemic techniques. He requests a transfer to Escha's understaffed town specifically so he can put his skills to work, and meets Escha when he joins the Development Department. The two hit it off and make a pact to combine their abilities and turn the department into a success.
