Despite his unassuming demeanor, Serpico is dangerous when he needs to be. He's quick with a rapier and observant like a fox, making him shrewd in a fight. During his time with the Holy See, he worked as Herald for the Holy Iron Chain Knights.
His relationship with Guts has been rocky from the start. Serpico saw Guts as nothing but danger—a magnet for catastrophe that threatened anyone foolish enough to follow him, especially Farnese. That animosity came to a head during a duel in Vritannis's underground pillars, where Guts could have killed him but chose to spare his life instead. The gesture shifted something between them. To fight alongside Guts on equal footing, Serpico relies on two blessed items granted by the wind spirit Sylph. His rapier cuts through the air itself, generating razor-sharp gusts of wind. His cloak is equally invaluable—it creates a constant vortex around him that deflects projectiles, boosts his mobility in jumps, and lets him slow his descent from heights that would kill a normal person.
