Noda's basically the muscle of the SSS—a halberd-wielding fighter who actually knows how to execute Yuri's plans without screwing them up. The thing is, he's deeply loyal to Yuri and pretty much only Yuri; everyone else gets the cold shoulder or outright hostility. He and Otonashi have this constant tension going on, though it's more one-sided aggression than anything.
Intelligence isn't his strong suit, and he's the first to admit it. But where he lacks brains, he makes up for with a willingness to do whatever it takes to keep Yuri safe—including resorting to violence without hesitation if someone threatens her. That devotion runs deep, and it's hard not to notice how much he idolizes her.
The downside? He's antagonistic to pretty much everyone who isn't Yuri, and he's not particularly fond of taking orders from anyone else. For a combat specialist, though, he gets the job done when it matters.
