Zephyr, commonly called Z, was a former Marine admiral and instructor who eventually turned against the Navy itself. He's best known as the leader of the Neo Marines and the main villain of One Piece Film: Z.
Back when he served as an admiral, Zephyr was genuinely respected by those under his command. He'd joined the Marines as a true believer—driven by conviction in justice and heroism. But over time, he came to see the organization for what it really was, and that disillusionment led him to resign and eventually build his own faction to oppose it.
