One of Grimmjow's five Fracción and the sixteenth Arrancar in Aizen's forces. Di Roy stands out mostly for being notably weaker than his peers—a handicap he literally can't escape. When Grimmjow was still an Adjuchas, he ate part of Di Roy, which stunted his development permanently. This is why Yylfordt dismisses him as an "Arrancar in name only," and why Di Roy apparently had to convince the group to let him join the invasion at all.
His mask remnant resembles a hammerhead shark's head, bulky and unwieldy. Bandages wrap around the right side, covering an injury from Grimmjow that he apparently wanted hidden. Underneath is a gash along the top of the mask, and his right eye is typical Hollow—white pupil ringed in black. Di Roy's teeth are noticeably shark-like and oddly shaped, giving him a slight lisp when he speaks. He tends to carry his Zanpakutō in his hands rather than at his side. His original Hollow form was snake-like with that same shark head.
During his fight with Rukia, he mentioned preferring to battle in the air, claiming it's his "true battlefield"—though honestly, most Arrancar seem to fight that way anyway.
