Chris is a third-year at Seidou High School and a core member of the baseball team—though not exactly in the way he'd planned. A shoulder injury forced him to sit out a year for recovery, which meant losing his starting catcher role. Rather than leave the team entirely, the coach offered him a position as manager, keeping him involved while he rehabilitated.
He's got a pretty intimidating presence that makes most first-years nervous around him. There's a running joke among the team that he's responsible for scaring off a decent number of pitchers over the years. But that tough exterior comes from genuine determination—as long as there's even a sliver of possibility he can play baseball again, he won't quit.
