Not much is known about Hang Zang-Ching beyond the basics. As a kid, he dreamed of becoming a pop idol, though he ended up becoming an explosives expert instead. He shows up in a bunch of fights throughout the series and has the unfortunate distinction of being the first casualty when Peyote launches his rebellion—though he does get brought back to life later along with Hanagumi.
His spirit companion, Shion-Shion, gives him access to an Oversoul called Dokurama Neko, which transforms the spirit into a traditional Chinese-style gong.
