Ayako is the daughter of Kuroba Mitsugu, making her a second cousin to Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba. The Kuroba family handles intelligence operations for the Yotsuba clan, and Ayako pops up as a messenger for them during the Visitor Arc. Her twin brother Fumiya is one of the candidates to eventually lead the Yotsuba—a position Miyuki's also being groomed for.
Style-wise, she's really into the frilly aesthetic. Miyuki's noted how Ayako goes all-out with ribbons, trims, and decorative buttons on basically everything she wears, including her above-knee socks. Her hair is arranged in ringlets and she keeps it neat with a ribboned hairband.
Like her brother, Ayako's developed a pretty strong attraction to Tatsuya, which is a bit complicated given his status as the Yotsuba's heir apparent and reserve successor.
