During the One Year War, Gadem was assigned by Dozle Zabi to resupply Char Aznable's Musai following a botched reconnaissance run at Side 7. The two ships met up at Luna II.
The White Base spotted them almost immediately. They scrambled Amuro Ray in the RX-78-2 Gundam alongside Ryu Jose in a Core Fighter, positioning themselves against the sun to blind their targets. It was a clean tactical move.
While Char's Musai tried to hold them off, Gadem rushed to offload supplies before things got worse. He managed to get clear in his MS-05 Zaku I, but his focus shifted to salvaging his pride. Despite Char's objections, he went after the Gundam unarmed, determined to settle things. The Gundam made short work of him.
