Yamanbagiri Kunihiro is one of several Kunihiro blades created when an Ashikaga lord decided to commission replicas after falling in love with the original Yamanbagiri. He's fully aware he's not the authentic blade, but he's touchy about it—he'll proudly insist he's Kunihiro's masterpiece and won't tolerate being called a fake or an imposter. What makes him stand out is that he's the only work Kunihiro ever forged in the Kotou ("old sword") style, which kind of proves his special status in the smith's catalog.
