Asanbosam, also known as Asasabonsan, is a South Asian vampire who shows up as one of Kitarou's recurring enemies. He first appeared in the Shonen Magazine story "Blood Battle Ogasawara," where he established himself as a serious threat. Over the series, he's become known as a persistent antagonist, representing the yokai threats that exist outside Japan's traditional monster lore.
