Gaius Amidonia is the crown prince of the Principality of Amidonia and father to Julius and Roroa. He's best known for his arrogance and pride, traits that shaped his entire worldview and political agenda. The guy carried a serious grudge against the Elfrieden Kingdom stemming from a war fifty years prior, when Amidonia got cut down to half its original size. This loss ate at him, and he built his whole approach to leadership around military strength—essentially waiting for his shot at revenge against Elfrieden. His resentment defined him more than almost anything else about his character.
