A fourteen-year-old local kid who's completely obsessed with aviation. He's part of a club that's building a human-powered aircraft, which pretty much sums up his personality—he's the type who'd rather tinker with plane designs than do anything else. When Kiki first shows up, Tombo's mainly interested in her because she can actually fly, which is kind of the ultimate flex in his world. They eventually become friends, though it's clear she impresses the hell out of him. (His name situation is a bit unclear—"Kopoli" might be his first or last name depending on how you read it, while "Tombo" is definitely a nickname, Japanese for dragonfly.)
