Kaite is a kid who knows his way around sandsteemers—seriously, he's the kind of person who can tell you everything about how they work, especially when it comes to his dad's ride. He's grown up around these massive desert vehicles, so he's picked up more mechanical know-how than most kids his age. His dad's sandsteemer in particular is basically his obsession; he knows every detail about it and takes genuine pride in keeping up with how it runs across the wastelands of Gunsmoke.
