Alberto got caught up in some serious Pokémon shenanigans when Darkrai's Dark Void combined with Palkia warping space—he ended up transformed into his own Lickilicky. The weird part? Lickilicky was dreaming it was Alberto, so that's basically what he became. Obviously furious about the whole thing, Alberto put out a hefty reward for anyone willing to take down Darkrai. He managed to turn back to normal once Dark Void's effects wore off.
He shows up again in the ending credits of Arceus and the Jewel of Life, still piloting his hot air balloon and still chasing after Alice. Fans also spotted him in I Choose You!, though that film exists in its own separate timeline from the main series—he was hanging out in Alamos Town with his Lickilicky.
