Franklin looks absolutely terrifying—scarred up, stitched together, the whole deal. But despite the monstrous appearance, there's actually something surprisingly decent underneath. He's genuinely protective of Shizuku and cares about her wellbeing, and he's known for being the calm, levelheaded guy who breaks up conflicts within the Phantom Troupe. He's one of the original members who came out of Ryūseigai.
His Nen ability, Double Machine Gun, is exactly what it sounds like: he's basically a living weapon. His fingers open up to reveal chambers where he channels Nen into bullets and fires them off. He didn't technically need to sever his own fingers to use the ability, but he did it anyway because he genuinely believed it would work better. And he was right—the sacrifice made the bullets hit way harder, probably because of the commitment behind it. The ability is brutally effective; he can clear out an entire room in seconds.
