Synopsis

Gon Freecss dreams of becoming a Hunter—mostly because he wants to track down his father, who ditched him years ago to chase his own adventures. The catch? The Hunter Exam is brutal. Only about one in a hundred thousand applicants actually pass, and that's just the beginning of what turns out to be a much longer road. During the exam, Gon meets a bunch of other hopefuls who'll stick with him through thick and thin. There's Killua, whose past is shrouded in mystery; Kurapika, who's driven by a personal vendetta; and Leorio, who's hunting the Hunter title specifically so he can become a doctor. Together, they discover that being a Hunter means stepping into a world filled with danger and incredible opportunities—and for those willing to embrace it, the sky's the limit.
