Prosciutto is a hitman for La Squadra di Esecuzione, partnered with the younger Pesci, who calls him "big brother" (aniki)—a yakuza-style honorific showing rank. Together they're sent to assassinate Buccellati's crew on a train bound for Florence.
His Stand, The Grateful Dead, is a grotesque upper torso covered in eyes that leak an aging vapor. Anything alive exposed to it rapidly deteriorates, though cold slows the effect dramatically—which is why women, with naturally lower body temperatures, age slower than men. Buccellati eventually figures out that ice blocks it entirely. Direct contact from the Stand speeds up aging even faster, and Prosciutto can choose to suffer the same effect himself; when he does, his own touch reverses his aging process.
