Deoxys is a sleek, alien-looking Pokémon with a distinctly extraterrestrial vibe. It's got a bipedal build, predominantly red coloring with a light blue face, and three light blue dots arranged in a triangle on its back. A purple stripe runs down its face, and there's a glowing purple crystal embedded in its chest—which is actually its brain. Its eyes are stark white circles set in black, rectangular sockets, giving it an intense, otherworldly stare.
The thing was born when a virus from space mutated, and it's genuinely intelligent. That crystal in its chest isn't just for show; it can fire laser beams and seems to be the core of its consciousness. Deoxys can reshape its tentacles into human-like hands, and when it's dormant, it can flatten itself into a triangular stone tablet. As shown in the movie Destiny Deoxys, it can regenerate lost body parts mid-battle. It also creates auroras to communicate with other Deoxys using different electromagnetic wavelengths—though heavy interference from electronics, people, or other Pokémon can mess with its vision and mess with its ability to communicate.
Deoxys has demonstrated the ability to clone itself, though these copies are noticeably inferior: duller colors, no signature chest crystal, lifeless eyes, and they can't switch forms or morph their tentacles into hands. When defeated, the clones just dissolve into dust.
The four forms each specialize in different stats. Normal Forme is the balanced one, with coiled tentacles and a stocky build. Attack Forme strips away some of that red plating to expose a black, striated core, adds spikes and whip-like tentacles, and generally looks aggressive as hell. Defense Forme bulks up with wide, flat legs, broad tentacles, and a helmet-like head fused with the body—built like a tank. Speed Forme goes the opposite direction: sleek and black with minimal red, a single tentacle on each side, and a long spike extending from the back of its head that's made for cutting through the air.
According to the games, Deoxys arrived on Earth inside the Grand Meteor Delta during the Delta Episode, but the meteor was destroyed and the Pokémon was either defeated or caught by the player alongside Mega Rayquaza.
