Lucille is a government official with a medical background who got posted to the development project from Central. She's the junior member of the team, looking up to both Escha and Logy as her senpais. She takes her work seriously and generally comes across as polite and well-meaning, though she has a tendency to make some pretty significant mistakes.
She's an only child from the wealthy Ernella family, which runs a major medicine company. Her relationship with her parents is solid, but she deliberately asked for a posting as far from Central as possible—partly because she couldn't land work in places where the Ernella Company had real pull. There's probably more to it than just career frustration.
Lucille spent years trying to become a doctor but ultimately didn't make the cut, which stung. Rather than waste all that medical training, she pivoted to government work instead. When she's got downtime, she throws herself into studying premodern medical techniques that have been rediscovered. On the personal side, she's a figurine collector with what sounds like a genuinely impressive collection.
