Haru is the male lead. He's a high school student sitting next to Shizuku in class, though calling him a typical student would be generous—he's a delinquent who vanishes for stretches after getting into fights, which is how the story kicks off. Most people at school treat him like he's dangerous, which bothers him more than he'd probably admit; he wants real friends but can't seem to get past everyone's fear of him.

Whether he actually thinks before he speaks is. debatable.
