Lacueva made a name for himself as a pirate with a reputation for cunning tactics and sharp strategic thinking. He eventually got captured and ended up at the Auction House, where things took a dark turn. Rather than accept slavery, he chose to resist—and when forced on stage, he attempted to take his own life by biting his tongue, collapsing in front of the crowd.
He survived that ordeal and was later spotted among the other enslaved people when Franky distributed keys to help them escape.
His bounty sits at 17,000,000 belli. His name is a play on Spanish—la cueva literally means "the cave."
