E.G. the Mine
A violent man in a bulky suit designed like a sphere, E.G. the Mine weaponizes control threads to deploy and hurl lethal spikes at enemies. His whole getup is basically a walking spike launcher.
In the manga, he's the second of Vash's challengers from the Gung-Ho-Guns. He makes a statement by dragging the corpse of Monev the Gale into the fight as a threat. Vash makes short work of him though—one dodge of the incoming spikes, one shot to the suit's straps, and the whole thing falls apart.
The original anime gives him a bigger role. Here he's the third Gun to face Vash and shows up with bodies of not just Monev but also Dominique the Cyclops. He doesn't survive the encounter though; Rai-Dei the Blade kills him after Vash puts him down.
Trigun Stampede reimagines him as Ethan Gilbert, who started going by E.G. Bomber before eventually settling on E.G. the Mine after crossing paths with Willian Conrad and Knives. This version trades the spike-throwing for lost technology and bomb-based weaponry instead.
