Yuuma Kuga is one of World Trigger's main protagonists. He's a Neighbor with exceptional Trion reserves and strong Trigger capabilities.
Physically, Yuuma's notably short for his age, with striking white hair and red eyes. His everyday look is pretty casual—blue school jacket over gray pants when he's not in uniform, or a black hoodie with a paw symbol and "UMA" (Unidentified Mysterious Animal) printed on it paired with baggy jeans. His Black Trigger form features Replica fusing with a black jumpsuit. When he switched to C-Class, he went with an all-black uniform instead of the standard white, sporting black and white striping along the collar and sleeves. His B-Class gear mirrors Osamu's design but with a more symmetrical cut—no shoulder guard on the left sleeve, matching detail on the right, thinner black stripes, and the Tamakoma emblem on both shoulders.
Personality-wise, Yuuma comes across as pretty relaxed and casual about most things. Growing up in another world means he's not always clued in on Japanese customs, which has gotten him into some awkward situations. He thinks logically in combat scenarios—he once told Mikumo to abandon a rescue mission rather than risk his own life. Despite seeming happy-go-lucky, there's real darkness underneath. He's dealing with serious depression stemming from his father's sacrifice to bring him back to life, and for a long time, keeping his father alive was literally his only reason to keep going. Still, he's committed to Border's fight against Neighbor threats.
