A former member of the Japan Self-Defense Forces who serves as the adult guide for the Spring group. Yanagi is known for his arrogant, no-nonsense attitude and openly misogynistic views—he's the kind of guy who rubs people the wrong way pretty quickly. His relationship with Hana becomes increasingly hostile, eventually leading to him disappearing for a stretch. When he finally resurfaces, he's got a story: he claims to know how to get everyone back to the old world. Whether that's true or just another power play is anyone's guess.
