Midori's the tallest first-year around, and he's got the looks and build to match—but he's painfully self-conscious about it. He tends toward being timid, blurts out awkward stuff he probably shouldn't, and struggles hard with formal speech and honorifics. Honestly, he just picked the academy because it's basically next door to his place; his family runs a greengrocer in the shopping district right beside campus.
The whole idol thing happened by accident. He actually meant to take a different course but somehow ended up in the idol program instead. He finds RYUSEITAI leader Chiaki Morisawa's intense, over-the-top energy kind of overwhelming and exhausting. When he's feeling down, he'll head to the ocean with fellow unit member Kanata Shinkai to clear his head. Horror movies and roller coasters are pretty much his kryptonite.
