Merribit shows up on the Saisei as a civilian, where she quickly notices that Orga's got a serious problem holding his liquor. She hands him her handkerchief to help him out, which is pretty much the first thing we see her do. After that, she gets a proper role in the story as Teiwaz's official liaison—basically there to keep tabs on everything happening aboard the Isaribi and make sure the organization's interests are looked after.
