Cyno is the General Mahamatra—basically the top cop of the Sumeru Akademiya and commander of all the Matras. He's known for having a sense of humor that's. well, deeply memorable, even if his jokes don't always land the way he intends.
Outside the intimidating authority figure role that keeps Akademiya researchers on their toes, Cyno's actually got a playful side. He's obsessed with Genius Invokation TCG and spends a lot of time cracking jokes that fans often describe as gloriously unfunny. It's kind of his thing.
His whole aesthetic draws from Ancient Egyptian culture—his distinctive headpiece is styled after Anubis, the jackal-headed god associated with death and the weighing of souls.
