Miyu Irino prefers going by Miyu-kun rather than his other nickname Miyu-Miyu. He's from Tokyo and has AB blood type. Beyond voice acting, he's genuinely multi-talented—he dances, plays soccer, sings, and can juggle, plus he's skilled on guitar. Watermelon's his favorite fruit, and he's known for saying "I gotta believe!" (though he'll skip the tongue twisters).
He's best known for voicing Sora across the Kingdom Hearts series and starring in the film Monochrome Girl. Since 2009, he's been active as a solo musician under Kiramune, releasing seven mini-albums, six singles, two full albums, and a best-of compilation. In 2010, he teamed up with Hiroshi Kamiya to form the unit KAmiYU, contributing to anime soundtracks like Karneval's ending theme "Reason" and the Gundam Breaker Beginning G opening "My Pround, My Play." He recently signed with Nippon Columbia and released his first single under them, "Who I Am," on July 30, 2025.
The guy's tight with fellow voice actor Mamoru Miyano—they go way back to elementary school when they were both in The Himawari Theatre Group. While Miyano stayed, Irino moved on to Junction.
He's deliberate about not limiting himself to just one role in entertainment. Since 2013, he's been diving into theatrical plays and musicals as a way to explore and challenge himself. He took a brief hiatus around 2017 to study abroad for about six months. In 2021, he announced his marriage.
