Minato Namikaze was the Fourth Hokage of Konohagakure and is widely considered one of the village's greatest ninja ever. He died sealing the Nine-Tailed Fox into his newborn son, Naruto Uzumaki—a sacrifice that cost him his life. Before dying, he pleaded with the villagers to see Naruto as a hero rather than the monster sealed within him, a request they largely ignored.
What made Minato legendary was his mastery of the Hiraishin no Jutsu, a teleportation technique originally developed by the Second Hokage Tobirama. By marking a location with a special seal on a kunai or an enemy's body, Minato could warp to it instantly and eliminate opponents before they even knew what hit them. This earned him the nickname "Konoha's Yellow Flash" and made him so feared that enemy ninja were ordered to flee on sight during the Third Ninja War.
Beyond that, Minato invented the Rasengan, a brutal technique that doesn't require hand seals—just a spinning vortex of chakra concentrated in the palm. It hits hard and fast. He'd actually planned to improve it further by incorporating his own wind-style nature manipulation, which would've made it even deadlier, but he never got the chance before his death. The Rasengan as he left it is technically incomplete.
