A decent guy who actually knows who Frieren is—he recognizes her as part of the legendary Hero Party that saved the world. He's got a real soft spot for them, which makes sense given everything they accomplished. When Frieren shows up at his checkpoint, he's quick to assume she's heading north to deal with whatever monster problems are plaguing the Northern Lands. Rather than give her grief, he clears the way and basically rolls out the red carpet, letting her party through with all the ceremony you'd expect for actual heroes.
